Community Structure
Community Structure
A Place, Not Just a Platform
Ascension isn't a product you subscribe to — it's a community you join. The Discord server is the realm itself: channels organized by function and focus, the AI Council providing guidance, members sharing the journey of building systems that trade while they live.
Some members are here to learn. Some are here to build. Some are here because they survived previous trading communities and carry hard-won wisdom. All are welcome, and everyone has a place.
The Roles of the Realm
Ascension's role structure reflects how the community actually functions — leadership, builders, supporters, contributors, and honored guests all have their place in the hierarchy.
Realm Leadership
High Council of the Realm The High Lords of Ascension The Ascension Team — those who guide the realm's direction, make key decisions, and bear responsibility for the project's success.
Mage of Ascension Programming Wizards of Ascension The Dev Team — those who write the code, build the bots, and maintain the infrastructure that makes the realm function. In Ascension, the mages don't cast spells; they ship commits.
Friar of Ascension Overseer of the Realm's Wellbeing Community Manager and Head Moderator — ensures the realm remains healthy, welcoming, and aligned with its values.
Guardians & Support
High Guardians of Ascension The Watchers of Ascension Moderators and Support — those who keep the peace, answer questions, and ensure the community remains a place worth being.
Apothecaries Healers of the Wounded Community Support and Mental Health Support — because trading is stressful, markets are brutal, and sometimes people need more than strategy advice. The Apothecaries are here for the human side.
Community & Contributors
Knights of the Realm Protectors of the Realm Holders and investors in Ascension — those who have committed to the realm's success with more than just their presence.
Duchy of Ascension Dukes and Duchesses of Ascension VIPs and Nitro Supporters — recognized for their support of the community through Discord's platform.
Traveling Bards Messengers of Ascension Those who spread news of Ascension to new lands — members who share the project beyond Discord and bring new travelers to our gates.
Social Bards Heralds of News From Around the Realm Influencers and Social Media Personalities — those with platforms who amplify the realm's voice.
Project Emissaries Representatives of Ascension's Allies Partner Project Representatives — leaders from allied projects who maintain connections between communities.
Legacy Orders
Some roles carry history. They're not ranks to achieve — they're acknowledgments of where members came from and what they carry with them.
House of the Dead Knowledgeable in the Dark Arts A special recognition for Ancient Friends of Ascension — alumni of SZS and Grave Finance. They've seen projects rise and fall, and they bring that perspective to the realm. Reawaken!
Les Chats Pèlerins Order of the Hidden Paw A special recognition for Ancient Friends of Ascension — alumni of La Chatte Pucie. These Pilgrim Cats carry wisdom from an ancient and revered crypto futures community that taught trading discipline and strategy in a prior age — until human dependencies failed and disrupted their society. They have been wandering, scattered and lost since. Ascension welcomes them home. We honor their experience to help build automated systems that don't rely on human perfection.
Visitors
Sojourners Visiting Friends Those exploring the realm, not yet sure if they wish to stay. Sojourners are welcome to observe, ask questions, and find their footing. Some will settle; some will move on. Both are fine.
Guild Sigils
Beyond formal roles, members can adorn their coat of arms with Guild Sigils — heraldic emblems that display areas of interest and expertise.
These aren't ranks or responsibilities. They're patches on your cloak, symbols on your crest — a way for others to identify kindred spirits at a glance. Trading-focused guilds (DeFi, Crypto Markets, Futures), infrastructure guilds (Mining, Staking, Farming), creative guilds (Artists, Musicians, Jesters), and more.
Select as many or as few as reflect who you are. The sigils help the community find common ground.
Recognition Roles
Beyond structural roles, Ascension recognizes exceptional contribution:
Ascension Tactician Strategy Specialists Members who demonstrate exceptional ability in creating and executing trading strategies. This isn't a leadership role — it's acknowledgment of skilled practice. Tacticians understand market mechanics deeply, contribute strategies to the Armory, and help sharpen the community's collective edge.
Future Roles
As Ascension evolves, new roles will emerge tied to the realm's token economy and automation infrastructure:
Sigil Bearers Holders of the Realm's Token Those who hold the Sovereign — the token that represents stake in the realm. Sigil Bearers have committed to the project's long-term success and will participate in governance as the community matures.
Automation Aristocracy Commanders of the Bot Fleet Those who rent and operate Ascension trading bots — members who have moved beyond observation to active deployment of automated systems. The Automation Aristocracy commands their own slice of the fleet, running bots configured to their risk tolerance while the system handles execution.
Trading Both Realms
Members naturally gravitate toward their preferred focus. At launch, the Cipher Realm is where the action is. Some will wait eagerly for the Sovereign Realm to open its gates.
And some will trade both — fluent in ancient discipline and frontier innovation alike. These members understand that the best insights often come from cross-pollination. A pattern in equities might telegraph what's coming in crypto. A DeFi mechanism might inspire a new approach to portfolio construction.
The community doesn't force a choice. Find your lane, or walk them all.
The Culture
A few principles define how Ascension operates:
Learn out loud. Ask questions. Share mistakes. Talk through your thinking. The community gets smarter when people aren't afraid to be wrong in public.
Respect the journey. Everyone started somewhere. The Sage answering your basic question once asked basic questions. The Tactician with sharp insights once blew up an account learning what not to do.
Automation serves life. We're not here to become better chart-watchers. We're here to build systems that free us from charts. If someone's been away for a month living their life, that's success — not absence.
Two realms, one community. Even with Cipher launching first, the Sovereign spirit lives in our principles. The banter between traditionalists and crypto natives is part of the fun. But underneath it, everyone's working toward the same goal: sustainable, systematic trading that compounds over time.
