Building in Phases
Ascension is being built methodically — each phase proving out the foundation before the next layer rises. We're not rushing to market with promises. We're building systems that work, testing them with real users, and launching only when the infrastructure and community are ready.
The realm grows when it's ready to grow.
Phase 1: Proof of Concept
Prove the system works.
Status: 🔄 Active
Phase 1 is about validation. The core infrastructure exists — trading bots, the AI Council, market intelligence, community framework. Now we run it, refine it, and prove it works.
Focus Areas:
Continued Paper Trading The bot fleet runs against live markets with simulated capital. We're testing strategies across market conditions — trending, ranging, volatile, quiet. The goal is a track record that demonstrates adaptive, market-responsive automation that trends profitable over time.
Community Formalization & Growth Building the community that will eventually govern and sustain the project. Role structures, culture norms, and the social infrastructure that makes Ascension more than a product.
Strategy Development Refining existing strategies, testing new approaches, expanding the library. Ascension Tacticians contribute ideas; the system validates them through paper trading before anything goes live.
Infrastructure & Persona Refinement Tweaks, not rewrites. The heavy coding is done — Phase 1 is about polish, stability, and reliability. Bots get more consistent. Personas get sharper. The system gets trustworthy.
The Milestone: Phase 1 ends when we have a steady, reliable proof of concept — automation that reads markets, adapts strategies, and demonstrates profitability over a meaningful time horizon. If it's not there yet, we keep iterating. No rushing.
Phase 2: Token Development & Alpha Test
Build the economy. Test with the community.
Status: 📋 Planned
Phase 2 introduces the token economy that powers bot rentals and establishes the foundation for community governance.
The Two-Token System:
The Sovereign (Medieval Theme) The foundational token of Ascension — minted 1:1 for stablecoin (minus a small fee for the gas pool). Holding Sovereigns makes you a Sigil Bearer — you have stake in the project and voting power in governance.
The Cipher (Crypto Theme) When Sigil Bearers rent a bot, they pay in Sovereigns and receive a Cipher 1:1 — proof of active participation in the Automation Aristocracy.
The Cipher is a perpetual badge, not a tradeable asset. It cannot be exchanged or sold, but it grants voting privileges for having been an active user of the system. Those who rent and use the bots earn a voice in how Ascension evolves.
Note: Governance design may include decay mechanics for inactive renters — rewarding ongoing participation over one-time use.
Rental Infrastructure
Phase 2 builds the technical infrastructure for bot rentals:
Containerized bot instances members can configure
Expiring access that can be renewed or revoked
CollabLand integration for token-gated Discord roles
Monitoring and reporting for individual instances
Alpha Test: Soft Launch
Once infrastructure is ready, current community members get early access:
Rentals enabled but free during alpha (no token cost)
Full feature set available for testing
Feedback loops to identify issues before public launch
Governance dry runs to test voting mechanics
The Milestone: Phase 2 ends when the token economy works reliably, bot rentals are stable, and alpha feedback confirms we're ready for broader deployment.
Phase 3: Beta & DAO Formation
Live economy. Community governance.
Status: 📋 Planned
Phase 3 brings the economy fully online and establishes the DAO as the operating authority.
Live Bot Rentals
Rentals are priced in Sovereigns. Members begin paying for access, generating revenue that flows to the Infrastructure Wallet and Community Wallet.
DAO Formation
The DAO becomes operational:
Governance framework finalized
Voting mechanisms tested and deployed
Initial Community Wallet allocation decisions
Role of Lord Chancellor clearly established
Beta Period
Real money is now flowing, but we maintain a beta posture:
Continued monitoring and rapid iteration
Conservative limits on rental capacity
Clear communication about risks and evolving features
Community feedback shapes final adjustments
The Milestone: Phase 3 ends when the DAO votes that Ascension is ready for public launch. The community decides — not the founder alone.
Phase 4: Public Launch
Gates open. The realm welcomes all.

Phase 4 is the transition from closed community to open ecosystem.

Full DAO Operation
The DAO takes full operational control:
Treasury decisions made by community vote
Fee structures adjusted through governance
New strategies and features prioritized by the community
Lord Chancellor role moves fully to protective oversight

Phase 4 shifts energy toward growth:
Onboarding new members (Sojourners → Sigil Bearers → Automation Aristocracy)
Expanding the bot fleet and strategy library based on demand
Building partnerships and integrations
Letting the community's success speak for itself
The Principle:
By Phase 4, Ascension runs itself. The bots trade. The DAO governs. The Lord Chancellor maintains protective oversight. This was always the goal — a system that doesn't need any single person present to thrive.
