Key Terms
This glossary covers Ascension-specific terminology. For trading terms, market concepts, and technical definitions, ask the Sages in Discord — they maintain comprehensive knowledge bases and love to explain.
Ascension Terms
Armory (Strategy Armory) The library for Strategy Cards — where strategies are organized and accessed.
Arena Ascension's competitive layer — trading challenges and community events. Details in development.
Ascension AI Council The collective of AI-powered personas that operate in Discord — Overseers, Factors, Heralds, Sages, and Ledgerkeepers. They translate bot activity into human-readable updates and provide education and transparency.
Automation Aristocracy Members who hold Ciphers — those who actively participate in the Ascension ecosystem. Voting power in governance.
Cipher The participation token of Ascension. Issued through active engagement. Cannot be traded — it's a perpetual badge proving participation. Grants voting power in the DAO.
Cipher Realm The crypto side of Ascension — cyberpunk aesthetic, 24/7 trading, digital assets. Where Ascension launches first.
Council Data Bus The central communication layer connecting all Ascension components. Trading bots, intelligence modules, and personas all read from and write to the bus.
Factor AI Council persona responsible for trade execution reporting. Announces entries, exits, P&L, and strategy context.
Guild Sigils Optional emblems members can add to their profile showing areas of interest — trading guilds, creative guilds, infrastructure guilds.
Herald AI Council persona responsible for news and market intelligence. Surfaces relevant headlines and market-moving information.
House of the Dead Legacy recognition role for alumni of SZS and Grave Finance projects.
Infrastructure Wallet Wallet that receives a portion of fees to cover operational costs (AWS, APIs, hosting). Managed by project leadership. Transparent and published.
Community Wallet Wallet that receives surplus beyond infrastructure costs. Governed by the DAO for community priorities.
Ledgerkeeper AI Council persona responsible for record-keeping — trade logs, summaries, archives, and historical reports.
Les Chats Pèlerins (LCP) Legacy recognition role for alumni of La Chatte Pucie. The Pilgrim Cats — Order of the Hidden Paw.
Lord Chancellor The founder's role in governance — not a ruler, but a protector. Holds veto power against malfeasance, manages the Infrastructure Wallet, and can intervene in emergencies. Day-to-day authority belongs to the DAO.
Overseer AI Council persona responsible for realm health — equity dashboards, daily summaries, system status.
Regime The current market condition classification — trending, ranging, volatile, risk-on, risk-off, etc. Bots adapt strategy based on regime.
Sage AI Council persona responsible for education — terminology explanations, concept teaching, market wisdom.
Sigil Bearer Members who hold Sovereigns — those with stake in the Ascension ecosystem. Grants voting power in governance.
Sojourner A visitor exploring the realm, not yet committed to membership. Welcome to observe, ask questions, and find their footing.
Sovereign The foundational token of Ascension. Minted 1:1 for stablecoin. Used for bot rentals and services. Holding Sovereigns makes you a Sigil Bearer with voting power.
Sovereign Realm The TradFi side of Ascension — medieval aesthetic, traditional markets. Expansion planned for future phases.
Strategy Card A packaged trading strategy with defined logic, parameters, and risk rules. Cards can be assigned to bots and accessed through the Armory.
The Accord The harmony between the Sovereign and Cipher realms — the principle that ancient wisdom and modern innovation work together.
Trading Terms (Quick Reference)
For detailed explanations, ask the Sages. Here are the basics:
Backtesting — Running a strategy against historical data to evaluate performance.
Dry Powder — Reserve capital kept uninvested for opportunities.
Futures/Perpetuals — Contracts to buy/sell assets at future dates, often with leverage.
Paper Trading — Simulated trading with no real capital at risk.
Position Sizing — Determining how much capital to allocate to a single trade.
Regime Classification — Categorizing market conditions to select appropriate strategies.
Spot Trading — Buying/selling assets for immediate delivery.
Stop-Loss — A predefined exit point to limit losses on a position.
Take-Profit — A predefined exit point to lock in gains.
